Vintage Shoe Molds And Other Treasures from my latest thrifting adventure.
This weekend, my sister-in-law and I took a trip to Pennsylvania, and I got to go thrifting at an amazing place near Reading, PA.
I left with so many thrifty and vintage finds!
Vintage Shoe Molds And Other Vintage Treasures
Can you guess which item caught my attention in this tray?
Yes, that little silver cup with the word Bremen on it. I so often come across vintage items like this postcard from my German hometown, it’s spooky.
Vintage Shoe Molds And Other Treasures
You wouldn’t believe the price on these pairs of wooden vintage shoe molds. I bought them all, five pairs. I haven’t decided yet if I’ll add a couple to my Etsy store or use them all for decor in our cottage.
This is most of the stash I hauled home:
I just can’t say no to $3 vintage Agricultural Almanacs that are 70 years old. The little watches don’t work, but they make a cute addition to gifts or vignettes.
This is a vintage Christmas ornament from Germany. It’s so dainty, and it’s amazing that it survived all these years.
And there was just something that drew me to those vintage keyhole plates that I want to add to a furniture piece.
I bought a few little paper items because I like to display them in my mason jars. Those were the times when you could win a 1950 Chevrolet.
This young man cost $1.
I’m adding those brown bottles to my collection, and the mason jars were so affordable that I bought a whole bunch to add to my other ones.
Which one of these items would have been your favorite?

I found a great idea for the watches from another blogger but can’t remember which one. She makes the old watches into bracelets by taking glueing a vintage rhinestone earring ( with the clip back taken off) They look so cute. I have also taken the insides out of watches and put crystals or little charms inside and then putting the back on. This is simalar to the charm lockets that are popular right now. I actually put my grandkids birthstone colored crystals in mine. Hope this gives you some ideas. I love you blog!

Hi Sheryl, thanks for your comment and all of those fab ideas. Guess what – one of the watches works just fine! I would it up, and it fits my small wrist just perfectly. I now wear it all the time!

Love your Christmas ornament!!! One of my favorite books is a volume on old ornaments. Look this up, you might be surprised! My favorite find while “junking’ on a Saturday morn. was a silver glass blown mushroom. I felt the same way, how did it make it all these years. If things could talk! Can’t wait to hear your Pa. story!
