Welcome, I’m so glad you found my author page!
I’ve been a successful blogger and content creator for 14 years (I founded Dagmar’s Home in January 2009). In the last few years, I focused on another passion — writing contemporary romance novels.
I’m working on two novels I hope to publish soon.
I’ve always enjoyed telling stories. That’s why I started blogging so many years ago. And as someone who is hopelessly romantic, I love reading and writing romance novels.
I write the novels I want to read: dripping in romance and drama. I mainly focus on the two main characters — I don’t make you keep track of a whole village of characters.
I’d describe my stories as super romantic, dramatic, and sweet — with a bit of heat. Think Gabriel’s Inferno meets Bella Andre or Lucy Score novels.
I’m what they call a “pantser” — an author who knows the beginning, maybe the middle, and the end of the story but doesn’t outline. I kind of let my characters tell me where they want to go, and I try to not get in the way. It’s such a fun writing experience.
I hope you will enjoy my novels as much as I love writing them.
Early praise: “I just want to say again how great this book is. It’s sweet, and romantic, and funny, and well-paced. I really enjoyed it and now I want to go and live on a ranch lol! But truly, this book is a thing of beauty.”
Dagmar grew up in a charming town in Germany, in her parents’ antique store. After getting a degree in advertising and marketing in Germany, she graduated from UCLA. She worked as a subtitle editor for years and started a proofreading and editing business. She founded her lifestyle blog in 2009.
She lives and writes in the Blue Cottage in Westchester, NY, and dreams of one day owning an old farmhouse with creaky floors, a porch, and a few acres of land.
When she isn’t writing, she enjoys time with her teenage son and fiance, thrifting, decorating, coffee shops, and traveling. She’s passionate about simple, green, and slow living.
