As you know, I decorate our Blue Cottage mostly with inexpensive decor I find at Target or Kohl’s, or thrift stores and tag sales.
I redecorate for every season and especially love fall — it’s my favorite season for sure here in the beautiful Hudson Valley, NY.
In the last few weeks, I’ve been keeping my eye out for fall decor in anticipation of my Fall Home Tour, which is ready for you to check out.
Now, pillows I wouldn’t buy at tag sales or the thrift store — those I always buy new. But I know where to find them for little money.
This year, I found orange velvet pillows at Primark – for just $7 each.
I bought two — you can see them in this picture on our sofa.
I absolutely love the farmhouse shiplap look and hope to add a shiplap access wall to at least one of our rooms in the Blue Cottage.
If you are not familiar with the Fixer Upper show, where shiplap is features in every project: shiplap paneling is a rough-sawn pine paneling often used in barns and historic homes.
I’m dreaming of a farmhouse shiplap wall in our kitchen, or in our living room behind the TV.
It would also look so nice in our bathroom.
