Be ready to make coffee the old fashioned way the next time you lose power with this coffee filter holder.

Can you believe it, we are hunkered down for another big winter storm!
School was canceled in advance, and it was supposed to storm all night.
Nothing.
We hung out all day at home because we didn’t know when the storm was going to hit — and we got about an inch of snow.
Hmm.
I made three gift baskets for the teacher appreciation lunch, worked a few hours, did some laundry, and now I better finish this post before we lose power.
If you have been visiting my blog for a long time, you know that I like to show you my latest thrifty or vintage finds.
I went to a new thrift store near us yesterday and found these two: an ironstone sugar bowl for $2 and a coffee filter holder for just $1.
After not being able to make coffee when we didn’t have hot water or electricity after the last storm, I was thrilled to see that coffee filter holder.
Now I’m prepared for the next emergency when I can’t use my Keurig.
Sometimes old fashioned is still the best way to go.

Here is the same coffee filter holder on Amazon if you want to be prepared as well to make coffee the old-fashioned way.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t function without a cup of coffee in the morning, so this is essential! :)

One time when our coffee maker broke, my mom pulled out the camping percolator and made coffee on our gas powered stove for quite some time. The coffee came out deeellliiiccciiioouuusss! We almost didn’t want to switch back to a coffee maker when the time came.
