5 Adorable DIY Christmas Decorations, Gifts, and Treats
These are my favorite handmade Christmas ideas — they are really clever and will be a hit, I promise!
Christmas tree in vintage tin:

When I saw this picture on Pinterest, I was inspired to use a vintage tin can as a container for a little tree because I own many. You could say I have a bit of a collection of vintage tin cans.
This one would make the PERFECT container for a Christmas tree:
And the candle on the tree in the picture reminds me of my childhood — we did have some real candles on our Christmas trees when I was a kid.
I’d never do it myself, and I wouldn’t recommend you do — it’s just too dangerous — but how sweet is this tin with the walnuts as decoration? Just do it with a fake little Christmas tree.
Here are a few affordable ones:
Donut snowmen:

These adorable donut snowmen are easy to make, with the kids or as a sweet surprise for them!
It’s pretty self-explanatory how to make them: just get a box or two of small donuts with powdered sugar and stick three of them on a wooden stick. Add an orange candy for the nose and two for the buttons.
The scarf is a fruit rollup or fruit leather, and you can make the eyes and other black dots with a food coloring pens like these:
Reindeer noses with malt balls and one red gum ball:
How adorable are these? Just add 8 brown malt balls or similar and one red gumballs for Rudolph’s nose.
I have so many cellophane bags lying around for gift wrapping and to wrap my teacup candles, so this would be super easy to copy.
DIY snow globes:
I’ve made these cute snow globes with mason jars since seeing this picture. I certainly have enough mason jars – I just bought another little one today at a thrift store.
Easy-to-make centerpiece with cake plate and boxes:
Yes, please! This Christmas tree made out of boxes is perfect for when you don’t have space for a big Christmas tree or want another one in the house for a different room.
Pin these ideas for later!
Which one of these DIY Christmas decorations and treat ideas do you want to make first?
