Let’s celebrate Independence Day in style — it doesn’t have to cost much or take a lot of time!
That America banner you see on my mantel is from Target, but you can find many patriotic banners on Amazon.
Just adding a little American flag gets this mantel ready for Memorial Day or 4th of July.

Here is another pretty example of using flags for patriotic 4th of July decor.
The red and blue don’t always have to scream — I actually prefer these muted colors of the vintage mason jars and the faded blue of the flag.
This is a cute idea of using bandanas for a flag.
Here is a great selection of inexpensive bandanas.
Need instant patriotic wall art or place mats? I absolutely love this idea of repurposing a toilet paper roll to make a painting of fireworks!
I want to do this with my son and then frame his picture for additional 4th of July decor.
Making this patriotic planter can be done with some inexpensive craft paint.
I wouldn’t even bother with taping off the stripes: I’d paint the flower pot white and then hand-paint the red stripes and blue stripe.
You could hand-paint the white stars or use little star stickers. Sometimes imperfect look so much better than perfect – just go for it!
Okay, here is one more SUPER easy idea that doesn’t require any talent: add a bit of sand, pebbles, or fake snow to a mason jar.
Then drop a little flag into the jar, and then add a flameless tealight to make these 4th of July decorations for your porch or tables or walkway.
I hope you enjoyed these easy and fun fourth of July decorations.
