Here is another pretty example of using flags for patriotic decor.
The red and blue don’t always have to scream — I actually prefer these muted colors of the vintage mason jars and the faded blue of the flag.

Making this patriotic planter can be done with some inexpensive craft paint.
I wouldn’t even bother with taping off the stripes: I’d paint the flower pot white and then hand-paint the red stripes and blue stripe. You could hand-paint the white stars or use little star stickers.
Okay, here is one more SUPER easy idea that doesn’t require any talent: add a bit of sand, pebbles, or fake snow to a mason jar, drop a little flag into the jar, and then add a flameless tealight to make these 4th of July decorations for your porch or tables or walkway.
