This 10-story mecca for interior designers and home decorating enthusiasts offers a collection of rugs, furniture, antiques, home textiles, accessories and sustainable furnishings for every style. There are many modern pieces, but they are mixed with vintage pieces, which is more my style.
Everything is high-end and pricey, but I got so many design inspirations, I didn’t even mind that all I can afford there is a little $10 vase.
I especially got a kick out of seeing furniture pieces like this that I feel I can find or recreate myself — for a fraction of the cost.
Would you pay this…
Ha, I can find a dresser like that in a thrift store! Remember the pretty little dresser on wheels I scored for only $35 at a yard sale?
Don and I really need to get into redoing furniture — with my DIY aspirations and Don’s carpentry skills, it’s really a shame we haven’t teamed up for that yet. But I hope we will soon.
Why not take advantage of being married to a skilled finish carpenter? We aren’t set up to redo large furniture pieces, but I hope that we will be in a few months, fingers crossed.
I see blog posts about DIY home projects with Don in them in my future — if you’d like to see them, let me know in a comment so I can convince camera-shy Don he’s needed on this blog! :)
