If you’ve been on my blog before, you probably know that I like to show you my latest thrifty or vintage finds, and this week I have a new thrifty find to share with you.
I had time to drive to the mall a few days ago and ran into the Christmas Tree Shops for some inexpensive folding chairs.
And I came home with this awesome rustic cake stand!
I decided against a windmill wheel because it was so big, but that cake stand — so cute and unique with the kind of heart shapes around the edge.

So this is how it looks now in my kitchen, on my favorite console table.

I’m tempted to white wash my new cake stand – but then again I’m tempted to white wash about everything in my house that’s not white, including my store fireplace.
Should I make this rustic cake stand look less farmhouse and more chippy and shabby chic?
