It’s Christmas in our cottage!
We got our big Christmas tree yesterday and I decorated it right away, and I finished decorating the whole house today.
I used white tinsel garland, white lace ribbon, and new and vintage blush ornaments for the tree.
Blue Cottage Christmas Home Tour 2016
Those white shutters have lived on our mantle for a long time — you can see them here in last year’s Christmas home tour — but I hung them on the opposite wall behind the metal shelves.
As you can see, our Elf Fred was around when I took the pictures.
I bought a white scarf and ended up using is as “snow” around the plant.
That Santa on the bicycle was so adorable, I picked him up at HomeGoods.
This white tag sale shelf finally found a spot, and I like the extra space to decorate.
My vintage pie tin centerpiece I made last year found a spot among my milk glass collection.
How fun is this Advent calendar pillow?
Here is our kitchen right now. I’m debating if our cow needs a Santa hat. What do you think?
This vintage crate moved from the living room to this shelf when I added the white shutters to the wall. I like it here.
And here is our mantel. I bet I’ll change it around again before Christmas.
I hope you enjoyed this year’s Blue Cottage Christmas Home Tour of our home!
Have you decorated your home for the holidays?

Love your blue cottage at CHristmas, Dagmar! Very cozy, and yes, I think the cow needs a hat, hehe.
Happy to see you co-hosting another party, and the chance to get to know more bloggers. Will you be continuing the thrifty & vintage finds party also? If so, I know one busy gal who just got a bit busier!
Season’s greetings!
Dagmar Bleasdale says
Yes, I will continue it. I plan to post it next week.
