Decorating my home is one of my favorite things to do. Enjoy this post full of thrifty Easter decor ideas.
Now that most of us are home more, why not make your home as beautiful a possible?
If spring isn’t showing up yet where you live, we can at least bring spring inside, right? I know I’m ready for cheerful colors.
Thrifty Easter Decor and Tablescape Ideas
This is how I decorated my Blue Cottage for Easter! It’s happy and colorful — and didn’t cost much.
Do you like saving money on home decor? Then I hope this post encourages you to visit thrift store and tag sales. I’ve decorated half of my home with thrifty decor.
If that’s not your thing, I also found thrifty decor at Primark, HomeGoods, T.J. Maxx, and Target for my table setting and decorations.
Some of the items didn’t cost anything because I already had them, like this cloche.
Just put Easter eggs into it, and voila — colorful Easter decor.
I kept the mantel really simple. I usually load it up with decor, but not this year.
I bought the framed print many years ago at a tag sale and it usually hangs in my powder room, but the colors worked so well that I moved it.
The little “Easter houses” are from a campaign I did years ago.

These big carrots are new, from HomeGoods. They were a little too big to use for a banner, so I stuck them into the enamel bucket I recently found on clearance at T.J.Maxx.
The tablescape is a mix of old and new. The runner is new, from Target, the big grass rabbit from HomeGoods, and green napkin holder from the Christmas Tree Stores.
I found those pink pillar candles for just $2.50 at Primark, and the bunny napkin rings were $1.25 at the Christmas Tree Stores.
The wooden tray, the vintage vase, and the glass bowls with the birds on top are tag sale finds.
Do you see the tiny wooden items with the bunnies? They are vintage and from my childhood — I brought them over from Germany many years ago.
Recognize those vintage lily of the valley plates I bought on in a New York thrift store?
I paired them with my Johnson Bros. Rose Chintz Pink plates and added German chocolate and a little hand-painted wooden ornament to every plate. I have some truly vintage ones, and I have replica ones.
And here is the brown rabbit I recently found at an antique store on our trip to the Pocono Mountains. I paired him with another other rabbits I already had.
That basket is a $1 thrift store find from a just few weeks ago, as well as the bunny picture.
This chicken wire cage is from the Christmas Tree Stores, and I paired it with a vintage plate and an IKEA tray.

While I was looking up Easter bunny on Amazon, I came across these tiny ones in Easter eggs. Since it looks like I won’t be able to shop for Easter items in stores this year, I’m totally going to order these for Easter! I’m not going to give up on our yearly Easter egg hunt tradition, and since the many squirrels in our yard have been faster than us the last two years and eaten half of the eggs with chocolate in them, these are perfect! The squirrels won’t bother these eggs.
Vintage pie tins come in handy not just in the kitchen. I made my hugely popular pie tin centerpiece with one (the one I did a Facebook Live for Hometalk for), and here I’m using it as a tray to contain the plant, vintage letters, and a vial with bingo pieces.
In the end, the bunny picture looked nicer on our hutch, so I put him there among all of my milk glass and pitchers.
My mom gifted me the wooden bunny. These are similar — isn’t this set adorable?
The wooden bunny my mother gave me last year is now sitting on a plate under a cloche, and I added a few paper Easter eggs to an egg-shaped bowl I have on the cabinet I repainted with Amy Howard One Step chalk paint last year.
I hope you have fun decorating for Easter as much as I do! If you don’t celebrate Easter, then decorating for spring with pastel and happy colors might be your thing.
