Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?
Well, I can’t help myself and rearranged things and decorated our living room for it.
If you’ve seen the post about my banner with vintage playing cards, you already got a glimpse of our mantel, but here is a closer look at what I used to decorate it with.
Valentine’s Day Mantel Decor
I’ve noticed that I usually don’t start from scratch when I decorate from one season or holiday to the next, and the same is true this time: I took down everything from my Christmas mantel decor, except the large hutch doors.
Plus, I simply flipped over the plaid runner I used for Christmas to use the red side this time. And I might have snuck some pink Christmas ornaments into this Valentine’s Day decor.
I painted the little shutter with the heart cutout I bought during this huge tag sale haul white and repurposed the hutch door I had hanging on the wall with the deer head for Christmas.
These little glass bottles and paper straws are from the craft store.
I found these little ornaments last year at a craft fair — they were only 50 cents each.
This heart-shaped wreath with dry flowers is also a tag sale find, and I found the picture in the clearance aisle at HomeGoods last year.
OXO – how cute is this vintage box I picked up on one of my thrifting trips. And those $3 red balls I first used for my Valentine’s Day centerpiece also ended up on the mantel.
I love using these vintage Valentines for decor — they are so much cuter than all the Valentines you can buy nowadays.
I just noticed that this winter-scene mirror also hasn’t moved since I used it for Christmas decor, but I love how it reflects the mantel decor. And it’s still winter, after all.
I hope you enjoyed my thrifty and vintage Valentine’s Day mantel decor!

What beautiful decor!! I so miss having a mantle that I can decorate. We have a wood stove, and having to use it during the winter so much, it’s hard to decorate near it. :/ Thank you for sharing with us at the #HomeMattersParty
