A couple of weeks ago, someone was really mad at me.
He was mad at me for something I had no control over. It wasn’t my fault, but he wanted to blame me.
He was unreasonable. He made threats even though I tried to explain that there was nothing I could do.
I tried to not take it personally.
Another nasty email — and I wanted to lay into him and say: “Listen, I don’t have anything to do with this and can’t fix this for you! You are being unreasonable! It’s unfair to blame me!”
But I didn’t.
Even though I wanted to fire back, I stated the facts again, made suggestions, and asked for him to be patient — it would probably all work out.
I went to bed still fuming and worried about the next nasty email I might wake up to.
He apologized the next day for the “misunderstanding.” Someone else had messed up.
I’m glad I chose kindness. Kindness goes a long way.
A few days after that, someone did something nice and unexpected for me, out of the kindness of her heart.
Funny how that works, right?
I can’t shake the feeling that both of those situations are connected.
What do you think?

Kindness always wins! It makes you feel better to be kind then nasty and hopefully shows the other person it pays to be kind! I totally believe your situations are connected. Big believer in Karma!
