I’ve got my laptop on my legs and am typing away — I’m tickled pink to show you what I did yesterday!
I assembled the rustic farmhouse console table I bought for our kitchen two months ago. It’s been sitting in a box on the porch, and I finally had time to put it together.
Don and Landon were out for a few hours, so that was the perfect time to do my thing.
This is what that corner of the kitchen looked like before:
The table and chair looked pretty, but I’ve been wanting more open shelf space for a while.
Rustic Farmhouse Console Table
It didn’t take long to put the new table/shelf together. I was so excited to fill it with my favorite dishes that I didn’t take a picture of it without anything on it.
Many of these bowls, plates, and glasses were hidden in our storage room in the back, but I like to have them easily accessible like this.
I love the color of the wood boards, and the rustic metal legs. This console table definitely adds to the farmhouse look in our home.
And you can’t beat the price! You know me, I don’t like to spend much money on anything. I’m such a believer that you can decorate a lovely home on a budget, and this is an example.
I found this console table, the rolling cart you see in the back, and the white baskets at Kohls.com and bought them with mostly Kohl’s cash and a 30 percent off coupon.
When I shop online, I always go through Ebates first, and then to Kohl’s in this case. That saved me another $16.
Can you believe that I only paid $101 for the table, the cart, and set of three white baskets? Shipping was free.
The shelf and cart go along with the look of these rustic book shelves we have in the living room next to the TV, also from Kohl’s.
I’m quite in love with this shelf — I think you can tell from how many pictures I took of it.
It’s going to be fun to decorate it for every season. It already looks differently than it looked when I photographed it :)
I almost wish the table had one more shelf so I could display even more of my dishes.
What would you display on this rustic farmhouse console table?
