Landlust Home Decor Store in Fischerhude, Germany
Every year, I look forward to my visit to the adorable country village Fischerhude with its thatched-roof farm houses when I visit my hometown Bremen in Germany.
After years of visiting our favorite cafe — The Rilke Cafe — and stores there, my mom showed me a new store: Landlust, which translates to country lust or country love or desire for country decor.
And I completely fell in love and left my heart there.
Landlust is a home decorating store and B&B that offers vintage treasures and shabby chic home decor from Denmark, France, and England in a beautiful farmhouse from the 18th century.
The owner Heike lives upstairs and offers two B&B rooms, one next to the store and one in the attic.
Her decorating style is so inviting – how sweet is this little room and bathroom. You can decide where you want to eat breakfast: in the store, in the garden, or in the room.
Staying here for a night or two has been added to my bucket list for sure.
Heike repaints little furniture in her workshop and then sells them, and also offers courses.
She offers vintage items as well and more modern home decor, and it is all beautifully displayed.
I wish I could have spend more time in the store, but it was closing time. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
