My Dream Home Has a Country Farmhouse Kitchen

I already posted my idea for a dream shabby chic kitchen, but I don’t like just one decorating style: the rustic country farmhouse style is also high on my list.

Except for the lamps, I like about everything in this cute kitchen.

If I had to pick just one thing, I’d want a farmhouse sink. Which is funny because dishes are the last thing on my list of house chores — ask Don.

My dream kitchen would have a farmhouse table with a bench on one side and chairs on the other side.

I like this farmhouse kitchen, and especially the painted wood floor, but I would paint the ceiling planks – maybe in a very light gray/blue?

A modern take on a farmhouse kitchen: brick floors and a farm table make this otherwise modern kitchen feel warm and inviting.

I’ve mentioned before how much I like large, bold signs. Hanging it under the ceiling makes the room look smaller, so I would hang it with the clock instead.

And I’d paint that large cupboard something more interesting that gray — maybe red or baby blue. Ooh, or that light turquoise from the box on the wall?

These honey-colored wood floors are pretty, and the white ceiling, the white cabinets and gray counter tops work to make this kitchen feel very inviting — but how wonderful is that room right off of this kitchen?

This farmhouse kitchen surprise with fun colors. And look at that ceiling! Is that tin or tiles?

The green cabinets make the kitchen feel clean and cheery, and I really love those windows above the doors. But those chair covers  have to go.

Love the island and the over-sized, whimsical chandelier. And by keeping everything white, accents really pop.
