Do you have a holiday gathering you are getting ready for? Wondering what kind of drink to serve?
I have just the thing for you!
I was challenged to create a yummy holiday drink recipe that includes Emergen-C, and I was thrilled!
I love Emergen-C but had never thought of adding it to a drink recipe.
Getting your vitamin C, 7 B vitamins, antioxidants and electrolytes from a yummy drink instead of a pill? Sign me up!
I think it’s genius to add vitamins to a drink you’re serving at your holiday gathering since — let’s face it — we all don’t eat that healthy during the holidays and can use the extra vitamins, especially in colder weather.
I picked up Emergen-C Tangerine 30 CT at my local Walmart, and some of the items I needed for my holiday tablescape.
I created a beverage bar in our kitchen, with my yummy mocktail and drinks for the kids.
I feel better taking Emergen-C during the winter months — is such an easy and yummy way to take vitamins that are important to my healthy lifestyle.
The B Vitamins enhance energy naturally,* without caffeine, and taking Emergen-C gives me pieces of mind when I feel run down.
When I was thinking of what kind of drink I wanted to create, I knew I didn’t want to make one with ice — I don’t feel like drinking anything cold in the winters. So smoothies were out.
Plus, I wanted my recipe to be easy, and something all my guest would enjoy.
I ended up with a really unique and yummy recipe!
I used a holiday drink, “Winter Wassail”, which is a blend of apple, black currant and lemon juice, plus holiday spices and orange peel, but you can recreate that if you don’t have it.
It totally gets you into the holiday mood with the cinnamon in it!
Spiced Tangerine Emergen-C Mocktail Recipe
- 1 packet of Tangerine Emergen-C (or any other flavor)
- holiday drink with juice and spices
- Seltzer or water
If you can’t get the Winter Wassail:
- 1 packet of Tangerine Emergen-C (or any other flavor)
- Berry juice
- Apple juice
- a bit of lemon juice
- Seltzer or water
- a pinch of cinnamon
Mix 1 packet of Emergen-C with at least 4-6 oz. of fluid. I used 1 packet of Emergen-C with about 30 ounces of Winter Wassail and 10 oz. of seltzer for about 8 servings.
Mix the ingredients until you get the sweetness and spiciness you like.
Emergen-C is a great ingredient for holiday drinks to keep you refreshed throughout the busy season.
I kept the tablescape simple.
I added a “snow cover blanket” I found at the craft store as a runner across our table and used our white dishes.
I added Epson salt to a wooden tray, and handmade candles I made in vintage Jello molds. You can obviously use any candles you have at home.
The little “wish list” is a little something my guests can take home, or they can be filled out over dinner, and then everyone can share their wishes.
Wishing you happy and healthy holiday gatherings with your family and friends!
