Welcome to another Dagmar’s Home link party! If you are here for the first time — hello, hello!
We came back from Germany yesterday after a lovely stay with my mom and aunt and friends. It was very hot there the two weeks, but we made the best of it.
We wanted to go to the mall on Sunday to escape the hot house (hardly anyone in Germany has AC), but everything, even the malls, are closed on Sundays.
That was the case when I was a kid, but I couldn’t believe that’s still the case! It’s hot and humid here today here in New York, and I’m very grateful for air conditioning :)
This weekly link party used to be for sharing thrifty or vintage finds, because I love everything thrifty or vintage, but I opened it up for all kinds of posts. I like seeing them all!
If you have been visiting this link party in the past, you know that I still like to show you my latest thrifty or vintage finds.
I already showed you what I bought at an estate sale last week. I waited to show you two more this week!
You might know that my mom has a collection of bells, and I just had to buy her this adorable brass lady bell.
These were used in the past by the mistress of the house to call a servant into the room, so this is a pretty treasure with history. This bell is in the shape of an Edwardian crinoline lady.
The little dachshund pin was also a gift for my mom. We have a special place in our heart for them because we had one for 13 years when I was a kid. She was the sweetest dog ever.
Did you link up last week?
I always feature my favorite post the following week, so if you are interested in being featured, please link back to this post.
It was so hard again to pick just one post to feature — you are all so talented and inspirational!
I decided to highlight Penny’s post, who blogs Penny’s Vintage Home. She decorated her shabby chic home with tobacco baskets.
Tobacco Baskets Decor
I have loved tobacco baskets for a while but have yet to find one that’s affordable. The vintage ones are so expensive!
