I had a tag sale at our house on Saturday while Don was at work. It was a busy and exhausting day, but L and I had fun, the weather was perfect, I got a bit of a tan, and we got rid of a lot of things. Win-win!
Best Mother’s Day Yet
On Mother’s Day, I got to sleep in, and Don and L made me my first breakfast in bed.
I remember how much fun I had as a little girl making breakfast for my mom on Mother’s Day — it’s really more about that, isn’t it? And now Don knows how to make coffee in our machine. Win-win!
My favorite three were:
- “I know my mom loves me because she reads me a bedtime story every night.”
- “I know my mom is very smart because she writes a lot every day.”
- “My mom is good at many things. One thing she’s best at is being a mom!”
I will cherish them forever.
In the afternoon, we went to Muscoot Farm to see the yearly sheep shearing. It’s a tradition for us by now to go on Mother’s Day that I’ve blogged about over the years.
Here is L showing off some of the wool he took home.
…L had fun on the orange tractor…
He makes motherhood easy.
I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful Mother’s Day.
How was your Mother’s Day?
