When Landon was little, he would meets with his book buddy at the library once a week — yes, we had an actual library dog he’d read to! — and I got to sit down and indulge in reading my favorite magazine for one hour: Country Living.

Country Decorating Ideas From Country Living Magazine
I love everything about this magazine because it covers what I love: the country/cottage/farmhouse/vintage decorating style.
I just found out that you can get a whole year of the magazine for less than a dollar a month on Amazon!
Here are just a few of my favorite ideas I’ve seen in the magazine:
This is the kind of living room I dream of: with plenty of storage for all of my collections.
This is such a lovely country kitchen, with accents we also have in our kitchen: the open shelving, the vintage items on the wall, baskets, and we have a similar black chair we use in our office nook.
The colors in this light-filled dining room is definitely my style, except for the yellow chair.
Isn’t this farmhouse bathroom with the wood accents just dreamy?
Country Living often features bargain shopping tips, and the bargain issue is always one I look forward to since one of my favorite things in the world is to find great deals in thrift stores and at tag sales.
Our Blue Cottage is decorated with mainly thrifty and vintage finds as you know if you’ve been here before. I have a pretty big collection of milk glass displayed in our living room.
The magazine features beautiful organizing and storage solutions, like this pretty pantry. I mean, that door is just wonderful!
Of course I salivate over all the pretty vintage collection ideas…
…and DIY and craft ideas. How clever is this locker table? Storage and table in one.
I want that wire basket for gift wrapping storage!
As a former advertising specialist and someone who loves layout work, I’m also drawn to Country Living magazine‘s clean layout, use of fonts, etc.
The country style is so cozy — my dream house would be an old farmhouse on a few acres — and every issue of Country Living adds to my growing collection of inspiring ideas I want to copy in my house.
