Hi Dagmar!

Thanks for so many great posts on healthy/eco-friendly products! Moms definitely look here for reliable information about what is best for their children and family.

I read your earlier post on GMOs and tumor growth and it raises huge concerns. (But I also read your post on annoying marketers sending you unsolicited post requests…so I thought it might be better for me to leave you a comment instead~)

You might know that this November, California is voting on Prop 37: GMO Right to Know. If passed, this will make food companies label their products if it contains GM ingredients.

GMOs in baby foods is a huge concern for mothers, as it has potential to cause developmental problems in the digestive system of babies. I would really like to connect with you and your readers on this issue of food awareness and safety! We’ve designed a microsite with embeddable resources if you wish to share the information with your network (found here at http://www.10reasonsforprop37.org).

I believe that your readers will benefit from the resources compiled regarding the negative health effects and safety issues surrounding GMOs. The underlying issue of Prop 37 is not limited to California- food safety for everyone, especially vulnerable bodies of babies and children, is a huge concern world wide. We thank you for all of your hard work and concern for the well-being and happiness of the next generation, and hope that you will find our resources helpful when reaching out to your concerned readership!

Our Top 5 Reasons for voting Yes on Prop 37:
1. GMOs are unhealthy.
2. GMOs contaminate the seed pool – forever.
3. GMOs increase herbicide use.
4. Genetic engineering creates dangerous side effects.
5. The Government isn’t protecting your family.

In the coming days, I’ll send you Reason #6. If you’d rather not receive this information, let me know. Should you want to contact me, I can be reached at jen@10reasonsforprop37.

My best to you and your readers,
Jen

Hey Dagmar, your blog is so beautiful! I met you the other day at the ebates chat. :) So I have a question – I looked at the link about dangerous chemicals in makeup. But which products are safe? What do you recommend? Thanks!

Hi Missy, look up the cosmetics that have a rating of 1 or 2 and buy those :) That’s what I did.
