Welcome to another Dagmar’s Home link party. If you are here for the first time — hello, hello!
If you were wondering about last week’s party: I didn’t post it.
I got so busy with other posts — don’t miss this giveaway — redid our storage room, spent a day on the phone with Dell to fix my laptop, and once Friday rolled around, I decided to wait until this week to post the new party.
So here it is: link party No. 200, yay!
As you might know, this weekly link party used to be for sharing thrifty or vintage finds — because I love everything thrifty or vintage — but I opened it up for all kinds of posts.
If you have been visiting my blog for a long time, you know that I still like to show you my latest thrifty or vintage finds.
This week I have a thrifty story to tell, and how I saved hundreds of dollars on tickets to a Broadway musical.
You probably know that I like to get a great deal on everything — Ieven wrote an ebook From Frugal to Fancy about all the ways I save thousands on dollars every year.
One of my gifts for Landon on his birthday was that I was going to get tickets for him and Don to go to his first broadway musical.
He likes the Phantom of the Opera, he was the Phantom for Halloween, and when I looked into ticket prices, they were $160 to $230 a person. Yikes!
Just by coincidence, I noticed a tweet about Phantom of the Opera while I was on the spinning bike at the gym, and after a bit of research, I found out that they were offering $30 tickets to the show.
They were only offering these tickets on one particular day, at an odd time.
I raced home and was able to score two tickets for Don and Landon for last Wednesday.
Score of the year! With taxes, etc., it only cost $77 for them to go.
And guess what — the time of the show was so odd because it was a longer show, with Andrew Lloyd Webber there and a special encore performance at the end with original cast members.
I’m so thrilled that Landon has this memory of visiting his first Broadway show with his dad. They had a blast.
Let’s get this party started! Feel free to share your latest and greatest from your blog.
Link up posts about home decor, recipes, DIY projects, tips and tricks, parenting, and more.
I always feature my favorite post the following week, so if you are interested in being featured, please link back to this post.
So many awesome posts have been linked up again to the last party. Over 160 posts were linked up!
This week, I decided to feature Danielle, who blogs at Pretty Extraordinary.
She wrote about Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes with walnuts. I mean, don’t they look delicious?!
Thanks for sharing your post with us, Danielle! And for reminding me that I need new wool dryer balls :) Feel free to add this “Featured” button to your post or blog.
