Dagmar’s Home Link Party No. 180
Welcome to Dagmar’s Home!
If you are here for the first time — hello!
If you are here for the Moonlight & Mason Jars party – Jennifer decided to not post it anymore — so my own link party will be the only one here again on Dagmar’s Home.
I’m excited for you to link up!
This weekly link party used to be for sharing thrifty or vintage finds — because I love everything thrifty or vintage — but I opened it up for all kinds of posts.
This post includes affiliate links.
I’m posting the party late because I have been glued to the TV for days watching the devastation of Harvey and busy on Twitter trying to retweet helpful tweets for storm victims.
I try to do my part and use my large Twitter reach to hopefully make a difference — I feel it’s my obligation in times like these.
I’m so saddened by all the suffering of so many people. It’s going to take all of us to help out the people and animals in the affected areas.
We had a sweet little dog visiting for nine days and Landon isn’t back in school yet, so I have enjoyed spending the last summer days with him, got his school supplies ready, and am arranging many last-minute playdates.
As you know, I still like to show you my latest thrifty or vintage finds in this weekly post, but on top of not finding the time to write, I just couldn’t think of what new find to show you this week.
And then I finally thought of the obvious one: I bought a really pretty, inexpensive bench for our bedroom a few weeks ago that I’m so thrilled about, and I photographed it yesterday for a post about our bedroom makeover.
This bedroom bench caught my eye in a Christmas Tree Shops email, and I was lucky that they had one in store I was able to pick up. It was only $100.
You can find similar ones on Amazon here.
I’m not usually a big fan of the color gold or such modern lines — I’m obviously all about cottage and farmhouse and chippy/vintage decor, but there was something about this bench I couldn’t resist, aside from the price.
We used to have a bulky ottoman at the end of the bed, but I love that this bench makes the room bigger. It’s a lot lighter, too.
I moved the ottoman into Landon’s room — you can see it here in the post about his room update.
Let’s get this party started! Feel free to share your latest and greatest from your blog.
Link up posts about home decor, recipes, DIY projects, tips and tricks, parenting, and more.
I always feature my favorite post the following week, so if you are interested in being featured, please link back to this post.
Did you add your post to the last party? Thanks for linking up!
Some bloggers just link up, and I love having all of you, but if you want to be featured, please take note:
It takes me a long time to look through all the posts to see if you have linked to the blog or have my button somewhere, so…
If you want to be feature and linked back to my blog (text link or button or mention of my link party on a link party page), leave me a quick comment so I can find your post easily to feature it.
This doesn’t guarantee that I feature you, but you’ll have a much better chance now that I can find your post quickly.
This week, I decided to feature Rita, who blogs at Panoply. She is a professional thrifter and shares her July finds in her post.
Thanks for sharing your post with us, Rita! Feel free to add this “Featured” button to the post.
Here is the code for the button:
<p class=”alignnone” title=”Featured on DagmarBleasdale.com”><a href=”http://www.dagmarbleasdale.com/” target=”_blank” rel=”attachment wp-att-26915″><img class=”aligncenter wp-image-26915″ title=”Featured on DagmarBleasdale.com” src=”http://www.dagmarbleasdale.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/DagmarBleasdale.com-featured.jpg” alt=”Featured on DagmarBleasdale.com” width=”200″ height=”200″ /></a></p>
