Dagmar’s Home Link Party No. 153
Welcome to Dagmar’s Home!
If you are here for the first time because you’ve seen me featured in Real Simple magazine, hello, there! I hope you’ll stay a while.
This party used to be for sharing thrifty or vintage finds — because I love everything thrifty or vintage and decorate our home with both — but I opened it up for all kinds of posts. I usually also share a bit about my week in this link party post.
Are your getting ready for Valentine’s Day?
I like decorating for every holiday and have been prepping to create a tablescape like this one and decorate our mantel, like I always do.
Like probably most lifestyle and DIY bloggers, I already have a lot of decor items, but I usually keep my eye out for a few new things every year.
You know how much I love to pay less for about everything, and this weekend I totally scored during a trip to TJ Maxx.
I meant to just pick up some cookies for us, but then I got lost wandering the aisles for two hours because I found so many fun things!
I bought several items for Valentine’ Day that were not on sale, and this white porcelain pineapple. I’ve been looking for one like it for months.
Here are the other things I found that were on sale:
Enamelware Bucket and Other Thrifty Finds
I’m looking forward to using the clipboard advent calendar this year. What a neat idea, right? It’ll give us a list of fun things to do during the holidays.
By picking up items out of season, I save so much money on decor and birthday gifts. I usually have a stash already at home so I don’t have to run out last minute.
Landon absolutely loves those finger tattoos. We already created a little play with them last night, with a stage and everything.
There’s nothing better than simple, creative play for kids – I was so glad I picked up the tattoos for $1.50.
My favorite find was the enamelware bucket made in Romania for $6.
I collect vintage enamel ware, our scarves and gloves and winter hats are all stored in enamel bowls in our sofa table, and I’ll use this bucket to store things in, or maybe as a planter.
Let’s get this party started! Feel free to share the latest and greatest from your blog.
Link up posts about home decor, vintage or thrifty amazing finds, recipes, DIY projects, tips and tricks, parenting, and more.
I always feature my favorite post the following week, so if you are interested in being featured, please link back to this post.
Did you add your post at the last party? It was so much fun to look through the posts. You are all so creative!
I decided to feature Dianne, who blogs at Deanie’s Stash I love her tagline “My Screwball Adventures Saving Items From Being Landfill Residents.”
She made over a thrift store find, a key holder cabinet, into this:
