Our Germany Trip: Wind Powered Farm Life

by Dagmar Bleasdale on August 12, 2016

IMG_2901Thirteen days went by so fast again.

Landon and I are already flying back home tomorrow after spending time in Germany to visit friends and family. I already posted about our trip to visit five ancient castles.

As always, we spent a few days with my friends on their farm in the country.

If you have wondered why I didn’t post my next “Thrifty & Vintage Finds” link party, I didn’t have WiFi at the farm and couldn’t post it. Look for the next one next Monday — you’ll have some extra time to link up.

So many people have been enjoying the pictures I have been posting of our trip on Instagram that I figured I’ll write a post about our three days in the country.

We took the train and Karen picked us up at the station. Her two boys were still in school. On the farm, Landon got to search for eggs…

IMG_3602The weather was a bit chilly but sunny, and we enjoyed beautiful landscapes…

IMG_3812…picked up grass for the horses in the shadow of my friends’ wind turbine, which supplies the surrounding 40 homes with electricity…

IMG_3811Landon had fun riding a bike around the farm…

Landon even got to try out judo with my godson and his brother. He had a blast, and is proudly sporting two blisters.

This was an example of the yummy food Karen made us: this is poppy seed cake.

IMG_3484We so enjoyed our time here. You can find many more pictures on Instagram.
