decorate with photos, DagmarBleasdale.comWhat kind of pictures do you decorate with?

Framed art can totally transform a space.

I decorate with photos, vintage prints, antique oil paintings, and personal photographs. I change them around quite often.

I really love the big cow picture I bought a while ago and added to a wall in our kitchen – it’s definitely a statement.

kitchen cow 2It takes a little bit of guts to decorate with a large cow picture, but it’s just so much fun — so why not?

It totally works for our cottage with all the farmhouse decor, and everyone who comes to visits loves her.

Let’s have fun decorating with beautiful photography for the summer!

Decorate With Photos

Photos.com is offering one of you a $150 gift certificate.

Photos.com by Getty Images is a new design resource offering stunning, expertly framed photography that gets shipped to your home and arrives ready to hang.

Their big selection of content is built on Getty Images’ unrivaled archive and exclusive photography collections from iconic photographs to news, fashion, sports, entertainment, landscape, and travel.

Each image can be framed in one of four sizes and five framing materials to complement any interior style:

  • canvas
  • framed paper
  • aluminum
  • acrylic
  • birchwood

I would love to add a really large photo on canvas to our staircase. Something dramatic. When I see large photos in someones house, I’m always impressed by it.
I looked through Photos.com and like a lot of the Ansel Adams photos. He captured stunning landscapes in his signature high-contrast black and white photographs.

Like these two:

Photos.com featured 200+photos of Gordon Parks that are really interesting, like this one:

grade school
Gordon Parks (1912-2006) was the first African-American photographer for LIFE and Vogue. He’s famous for shooting fashion, sports, and entertainment as well as social issues like poverty, and he took iconic portrait photographs of African American leaders like Malcolm X.

Here are a few others I really like from Photos.com:

I would choose the 18×24 photo called ‘Pride’ #173681957. This photo is listed under the Wild Walls category. My granddaughter loves animals, especially Lions and I think she would love to have this picture on her bedroom wall.
