I spent all day yesterday with this little sweetheart.
Landon has a cough and had kind of a rough night — I was up half the night with him — so I decided to not send him to school.
It’s so rare that he misses school because he’s sick. I believe that has a lot to do with how many years he was breastfed, but of course that could just be a coincidence.
We slept in a bit and had an easy-going day together. Since I was in Pennsylvania for one night this weekend without him, I was enjoying that extra time with him.
We read together to get a bit of school work in, stocked up on healthy food at Mrs. Green’s, and L played a Mario car driving game in a video game store.
I’m just shocked how many violent games those stores sell. Even just the posters for them are hideous and scary.
What kind of world do our kids grow up in that breeds that kind of want for violence and gore?
Sometimes I have the urge to move somewhere less expensive, buy a hobby farm and 20 acres of land, have two dogs, a goat, some chicken, and homeschool.
Do you ever feel like that?
Completely unrelated to that: I have been wondering about my Wordless Wednesday posts for weeks. I have been writing them for years, when my blog was a “mommy” blog, but I don’t see any other lifestyle blogs writing them.
To grab the extra traffic from the linkup, you have to write your Wordless Wednesday post on Tuesday, which seems silly, and they are never wordless, of course.
So I have been thinking of stopping to write Wordless Wednesday posts.
Would you miss them? I’d still write about what our family is up to, just not necessarily on Wednesday, and without the linkup.
