Dagmar's Home "Thrifty & Vintage Finds" Link Party

Welcome to “Thrifty & Vintage Finds” link party No. 81!

How is everybody doing with the kids going back to school?

We squeezed in a last-minute 5-night vacation to Florida with friends, so I have been kind of MIA. I’m pretty proud of myself that I didn’t take 500 pictures, and I didn’t work late except for one night. It was a really nice break.

We spent a lot of time with our friends and their kids — maybe you followed along on Instagram — but I do have a few thrifty finds to show off.

We stopped at an indoor flea market in Florida before we headed back to the airport, and I found this vintage soap that I knew would look cute in our powder room.

I’m very picky about scents, but I happen to love almond scent, so aside from liking the vintage-inspired box, I also like the soap in it. I bought two bars for $5 — the second one was free.

I also bought these three signs for Christmas, and a set of eight small chalkboard tags on my last visit to Goodwill for $1 each.

The keychain/bottle opener is from a dollar store in Florida — I can’t stay out of them even in Florida — and that key is the key of my hometown, Bremen, you find on Beck’s beer bottles!

It always amazes me how often I find reminder in the oddest places of my German hometown.

Remember the vintage postcard of Bremen that I found in Cari Cucksey’s booth?

Did you show off your latest find at my last party?

If you linked up, thank you! There were so many great entries again. A lot of you have been writing about the longest yard sale, which is so much fun.

I decided to feature Dianne, who blogs at Deanie’s Stash. She bought the cutest, kitschiest vintage golf planter I’ve ever seen.

Isn’t this adorable?

Thanks for linking up, Dianne! Feel free to add this button to your post or blog if you like.

If you weren’t featured this week but would like to be, just link up the same post again, and any new ones.

Your turn! If you’ve picked up a thrifty or vintage find lately, I’d love to see it.

I’m thrilled about any link, but if you want to get featured, please only link up thrifty or vintage finds, and link back to this post. I also feature DIY posts if you transformed something that was originally a thrifty or vintage find.

And after you link up, it would be lovely if you would share this party — pin, stumble, tweet away! The bigger the party, the more exposure for all of us.

How to link up:

  • Link up posts about your thrifty or/and vintage find.
  • Please add the party button to your post {see code below} or a link back to this link party post so others can be inspired to join in the fun. Only posts with a link to this party will be considered to be featured.
  • No links to giveaways, or shop or Etsy sites please.
  • By submitting a link you are authorizing for your project to be featured. Featured links will include a photo and a link back to the originating site.

Sounds like a fun trip! I was so surprised when I saw that golf planter today! Thank you for featuring it. I love almond scent and that would be a great soap.
Have a great week!

Dagmar, we just returned from FL too, taking advantage of a low-cost flight that will soon end. Love your soap and key, and yes, that little golf planter would’ve caught my attention too. Have a great week.
