Landon and I enjoyed the last overpriced frozen yogurt at King Kone a day before he headed back to school.
We had such a wonderful summer that it was bittersweet to send him off.
We went to Germany the first 10 days of the summer vacation, after that L went to camp and a tennis clinic, plus running camp, and then we ended our summer by visiting Hollywood, Florida, for five days.
Here are a few pictures of our trip to the Everglades Holiday Park, home of the TV show Gator Boys.

Don and L went on an airboat tour to see alligators.
It was super hot, can you tell from L’s hair? Not something you can avoid if you visit Florida in the summer.
They either get killed or end up living in a place like this one, where the goal is to educate people about alligators.
Did you know that alligators can stay under water for up to six hours, and that the longest alligator was over 19 feet long? Whoa.
I would have liked to have L home for another month. Or two.
Every time I see those round cheeks I think of my mom’s cheeks.
