Landon and I went to King Kone, a local ice cream hotspot, for the first time this year to officially welcome summer.
Here are a few more pictures from last week.
The three of us went for a walk, with L on his bike.
He wasn’t crazy about going to school after school, it certainly made for a long day, but he also had a lot of fun with the other kids, and his teacher was lovely.
We’ll see if he understands more German when we are visiting my mom, brother, and friends in a few weeks. I still haven’t gotten any better about speaking German to him myself since it’s not my first language anymore.
To understand what I’m talking about, read my post Raising a Bilingual Child: Go Ahead, You Try It! It’s not that easy, people.
L’s school hosted a big Relay for Life event Friday evening, and I’m so glad L asked to go! We donated some money, walked around the track, ate some food, and watched a great dance performance.
When the sun went down, we walked around the track again and read the many dedications on the luminaries. I had a hard time keeping it together reading messages like “We miss you, Mom!” I hope nobody close to me ever has to battle cancer.
Oh, and I got to use a baby picture of L the other day for a post about baby food. Look at this little boy! Would you want to do it all again? I absolutely would. Every minute.
I’m thrilled that there are already 18 entries for my latest “Thrifty & Vintage Finds” link party! Hop on over to see what I found, and all the other posts.
What have you been up to?
