“Thrifty & Vintage Finds” Link Party #68 — Vintage Globe Bank

Dagmar's Home "Thrifty & Vintage Finds" Link Party

Welcome to the next “Thrifty & Vintage Finds” link party!

If you found an amazing deal lately, a vintage or thrifty find, then I’d love you to link up! You might get featured next week!

I’m not sure if I’ve share these two finds with you yet: a cute vintage globe bank and a pretty German soup tureen.

I bought this 1920s J. Chein & Co globe bank at an estate sale months ago. It’s so old, it mentions Anglo Egypt Sudan and Siam, etc.

vintage globe bankVintage globes are so popular right now, and this can be yours! I listed it in my Etsy shop for $38.95 plus shipping. In 5+ years this will be an antique!

065aThe German soup tureen is missing the top, but that didn’t matter to me, especially not at this price:

055aI’ve had this tureen since before we moved, and I just uncovered it in a box today. I’m finally using it the way I intended to. Like this!

073aI always wanted to use it as a planter, and what do you know — it’s the perfect size to just pop in a plastic tray with six flowers.

They looked lovely on our dining table, but I put them on the porch and they look even nicer there. I’ve been really busy working on our porch and yard this week. Wait until you see my post about the $22 trelisses I added!

If you linked up last week, thank you! I enjoyed all of your posts and discovered new blogs, which is always fun and inspiring. I had such a hard time again to choose my favorite find.

I decided to feature Stacey, who blogs at The Farmhouse in the Fields. She got me all interested in this Betty Crocker cook book she found that her mother and she herself learned to cook with. Now I want to find the Betty Crocker book I have somewhere.

Thank you for linking up, Stacey! Feel free to add this button to your post or blog if you like.

If you weren’t featured this week but would like to, just link up the same post again.

Your turn! If you’ve picked up a thrifty or vintage find lately, I’d love to see it.

I’m thrilled about any link, but if you want to get featured, please only link up thrifty or vintage finds, and link back to this post. I also feature DIY posts if you transformed something that was originally a thrifty or vintage find.

And after you link up, it would be lovely if you would share this party — pin, stumble, tweet away! The bigger the party, the more exposure for us all.

I can’t wait to see your finds!

How to link up:

  • Link up posts about your thrifty or/and vintage find.
  • Please add the party button to your post {see code below} or a link back to this link party post so others can be inspired to join in the fun. Only posts with a link to this party will be considered to be featured.
  • No links to giveaways, or shop or Etsy sites please.
  • By submitting a link you are authorizing for your project to be featured. Featured links will include a photo and a link back to the originating site.

Thank you so much for featuring me! I’m thrilled!
This cookbook means so much to me as so many generations (three now) have learned to cook from it.

BTW… I love the website. Keep it going. So many fun things to look at!

Hi Dagmar–sorry I’m late for the party–was having computer problems. Love your globe bank so much, and your flowers look perfect in your new “planter.” Thanks for hosting!

Good morning Dagmar, I don’t see the link that will allow us all to participate in the party. I’ll check back later, but I love the features shown, both yours and Stacey’s. :)

Dear Rita, you must have been really fast and seen the post before I was able to add it! I first have to post the post so I have the link to add to the linky tool. Thanks for linking up again! Your booth looks amazing!

Dagmar, I’m signed up for your blog on both Bloglovin’ and your email list, and I receive notices from each when you post. I think your email list hits first. :)
