Dagmar's Home "Thrifty & Vintage Finds" Link Party

Welcome to the next “Thrifty & Vintage Finds” link party!

If you found an amazing deal lately, a vintage or thrifty find, then I’d love you to link up! You might get featured next week!

My whole week last week was filled with treasure hunting. I had a blast!

I went to the big Katonah tag sale twice and to the Chappaqua Barn sale three times, and found so many amazing items for about $100 in total.

I only bought a few things on the first day of the barn sale and passed on a metal pendant light because I was too cheap to pay the $10, but I regretted that all day.

The next morning, I went back especially to see if it was still available — and it was!

017aAnd because it was the half-off day of the sale, I got it for only $5.

I’m dying to hang this over our table in the kitchen, but Don isn’t sharing my vision. He wants to keep the recessed light. Hmpf.

Maybe these pictures will convince him that this pendant light is just what our cottage kitchen needs.

Since everything was such an amazing deal, I stayed a couple more hours and dug for treasures at the barn sale. This sale was enormous, in about 10 rooms of the church. I’m not sure why they call it a barn sale.

How could I pass up all these goodies?

018b Vintage BRASS Table Crumb Brush and Pan set on StandI already hung the stitching sampler upstairs (I paid $6), and this cat print over my bedside table ($1).

025aThe most amazing find ($10) was this antique whiskey jug made in Scotland in perfect condition:

Port Dundas Pottery, whistkey jug, Scotland

I’m not able to find a lot of information about the Port Dundas Pottery who made this, but it made pottery in Scotland around 1885-1914. I knew this jug was an antique!

I could sell it for a lot of money in my Dagmar’s Home Decor Etsy store, but it’s so nice, I’m going to keep it.

It already found its new spot, with a vintage silk flag with 48 stars from the 1940s I bought for just $2.

I’m hoping to get around to photographing and listing many of the other items in my Etsy store tomorrow.

If you ever see an item you’re interested in purchasing, just leave me a comment!

This week I’m featuring Diana again, who blogs at Adirondack Girl @ Heart. She also writes a Vintage Finds post every week, and she was just as successful last week as I was! I especially like the green tin.

Your turn! If you’ve picked up a thrifty or vintage find lately, I’d love to see it!

I’m thrilled about any link, but if you want to get featured, please only link up thrifty or vintage finds, and link back to this post. I also feature DIY posts if you transformed something that was originally a thrifty or vintage find.

And after you link up, it would be lovely if you would share this party — pin, stumble, tweet away! The bigger the party, the better.

I can’t wait to see your finds! For now I’m off to print out 10 pictures of L for his timeline project…

How to link up:

Thank you for the party!

I didn’t find anything thrifty but I made a cute and frugal flower bed. :)
