Wordless Wednesday With Linky: Breastfeeding Bumper Sticker

breastfeeding bumper sticker, I make milk. What's your superpower?, I make milk. What's your superpower?

Breastfeeding Bumper Sticker

Yesterday, I braved the deep freeze — one of the coldest days here ever — and drove to my CRV with my rental car to take everything out of it so I could sell it.

As you might have read, I decided to let it “retire.”

Somehow that sounds better to me than saying that it finally died after 18 year.

Because it didn’t really die; it still has several more years in it. And today I sold it to a guy who is going to fix it up for his nephew.

Of course the car died with bags and bags of donations for the community center in it, plus it’s amazing how many children’s books and business cards and coupons and juice boxes accumulate in a car, so transferring all of those with freezing hands into the rental car was no fun.

But it was somewhat cathartic to clean out the car and make it look good for the last time. I’m so proud how great it still looks after 18 years. And I felt like I owed it that after this many years.

Today I did the last thing: take off my breastfeeding bumper sticker. I’ve gotten many thumbs-up for it over the year, and I almost want to stick it on the new car, even though I haven’t breastfed in years. I would still like to — and always will — promote breastfeeding and extended breastfeeding.

Should I stick it on the new car? Or get a new lactivism bumper sticker? There must be other ones I can find.

What have you been up to?

Rock that sticker! If you’re passionate, why not share it?

From my point of view, it’s very funny. Can also get bad feedback though. Not all moms can produce enough or any milk and it might hurt their feelings. That does not mean you shouldn’t be proud promoting breastfeeding.

Personally, I’d rather have a super power sticker saying “I make babies fall asleep just by hugging them”.
Which I really wish was true. =D

Me?……..well, it’s not making milk that’s for sure!

I’ve always said that I’d like a statement like that included in my obituary. It was my super power.

I’d never put it on my car, but I live in America.

Here’s my Wordless Wednesday!

I have seen that in a T-shirt and thought it was pretty funny. On the car, I am not so sure. I wouldn’t put it on my car, but I don’t put any bumper stickers on.
