Wordless Wednesday With Linky: Sting’s The Last Ship Musical

by Dagmar Bleasdale on January 21, 2015

Grand Central Station, Manhattan, New York CityI don’t know about you, but 2015 started off with a bang.

Only two days into 2015 I got rear-ended while coming back from the gym. Lovely.

I’m okay but my sweet 18-year-old CRV needs to be fixed. Rental car, insurance problems, adjuster who approves $50 for labor when labor costs are $110 an hour here in Westchester… Fun.

And the dreaded, obvious question: is it time to let this baby go and get a new one? I’m doing my research.

Since Don and L came back from Australia, I feel like L hasn’t been in school more than a few days. Snow day, teacher day, holiday… It seems like a constant three days on — four days off. And Don has been working mostly in Boston, so it’s just L and me at home.

Plus, I’ve had major hosting and design problems with my blog. You might have noticed how slow it was, how odd the navigation bar looked, etc. It’s still not right. Hours on the phone with BlueHost and trying to fix it myself.

But I got to mix things up with two fun trips to Manhattan.

Madison Square Garden and taxis, Manhattan, New York CityOne was for an interview that was a lot of fun…

Grand Central Station, Manhattan, New York City…and the other one was to see Sting perform in his musical, The Last Ship.

I surprised Don with the tickets because I knew he’d love the storyline, and he loves musicals. He performed in a few when he was younger.

We almost didn’t make it — the streets were sheets of ice that day and we had to take the train and both had wet feet by the time we got to the theater — but it was worth it.

Sting and The Last Ship musicalWhat a beautiful production, the score and story is so touching. And hello, we are talking Sting! Pretty amazing.

I published a new giveaway that is getting a lot of attention — you all must love bedding a lot because there are already 115 entries! Win a $200 gift card to shop at Lush Decor.

Sorry about your accident. Thanks for sharing Manhatten. I’ve never been there and not sure I want to fight the traffic and expensive parking.

It is super expensive and congested — I can only take a few hours of it.
