If you saw my Christmas Home Tour, you already saw this year’s tablescape.

DIY Christmas centerpieceI wanted to show you how it all came together!

I bought Christmas decor at Pier1 and Target to create this tablescape.

My goal was to use gold and silver accents, so I bought these gold-and-silver stars and gift tags at Pier 1. I didn’t know how I would use them, but when I got home I decided that they’d be perfect for my cloche centerpiece I had in mind.

DIY Christmas centerpieceThis box of fake berries from Target was $6 and they were the perfect filler for the cloches, after I first added the star ornament and also a few gold ball ornament.

In the end I didn’t use that little Pier 1 deer but another one I already had with a space for a tealight.

DIY Christmas centerpieceI had bought four of these Target placemats and four Pier 1 snowflake placemats to have options and ended up using the snowflakes under the plates.

DIY Christmas centerpieceAren’t these simple white Pier 1 plates pretty? They were on clearance, as well as the four water glasses. They are so classic, they will come in handy for table settings for years to come.

These napkins with knots let you avoid napkin rings, so I added $1 bells as little favors.

What I paid for this tablesetting:

  • 4 large white plates for $20
  • 4 small white plates for $15
  • 4 water glasses for $13
  • 2 star ornaments for $7
  • 4 snowflake placemats $15
  • 4 napkins for $15
  • 4 silver bells $4

  • placemat for $5
  • box of fake berries for $6
  • 4 red bows for $4

Total: $104.00

Considering that I can use most of these new items all year, I think I did pretty well!
