Wordless Wednesday With Linky: Christmas Decor

toy truck with bottle brush Christmas treeChristmas Decor

After Landon and I put up our Christmas tree a few days ago, I spent a couple of hours today getting the last few boxes of Christmas decor from the attic and decorated the mantel and our living room.

Here is just a little tease of what the mantel looks like — yes, that hunk of stone is the top of our mantel. I’m dreaming of encasing that in a beautiful wood beam one of these days.

I do love how the mantel decor turned out and will reveal more in a Christmas Home Tour post soon. I could have gone for a rustic look but decided I wanted a gold and silver theme.

Remember the pillows Target sold last year with the picture of a truck with a tree? That inspired the toy truck with the bottle brush tree on our mantel.

My brother Oliver had just gifted this vintage Tonka truck to L for his birthday. Perfect timing!

I have been busy writing many more guides for eBay. Take a look at these unique items I found for Christmas tree decor:

WOW, I would just love to have a vintage theme for Christmas. My girls have banned me from tree trimming for the third year in a row. My normal burgundy and gold theme has been hidden on a small part of the back of the tree and in its place disco balls of all sizes and colours, including disco ball tree lights. OMG

Hi Raych, I really wanted a silver and gold Christmas tree but thanks to my son we ended up with every single ornament we have on the tree. But Christmas is not really about me, more for him, right? So lots of red it is :)
