Healthy Breakfast With Skinnygirl Hummus

This was my breakfast today. Whole wheat bread with Skinnygirl hummus, organic cheese, and the perfectly ripe avocado.

Finger-licking good! For full disclosure, I had two of these — one just wasn’t enough.

You probably know about the amazing growth of the Skinnygirl brand, which until now focused on fewer-calorie cocktails.

Now, the brand also provides 11 natural, better-for-you snacks with reduced calories: Skinnygirl hummus, dips, and salsa.

Skinnygirl Hummus

The hummus is made with non-fat Greek yogurt — a great idea to lower the calories. That makes it a little creamier than other hummus, but it doesn’t take away from the yummy flavor. It’s just a touch of yogurt. It’s also all-natural, gluten free, and kosher.

I tried the Roasted Red Pepper flavor and it’s so good. You can find it in the refrigerated deli section of select supermarkets.

As a vegetarian, I’m always looking for healthy snack options, and hummus is one of my favorites, but you usually have to watch the calories. Not with this hummus.

With the addition of these reduced-calorie snacks, you can now put together a whole party without having to worry about calories in the drinks and appetizers that go with them.
