LISTERINE Makes Brushing Teeth Fun

Oral care is so important, but it’s a daily struggle to get kids to brush their teeth. At least in our house — raise your hand if it’s the same in yours.

Every morning and night it’s the same story — I have to watch Landon so he brushes his teeth long enough and reaches all of them.

Often, it’s even a struggle to keep him standing still long enough, and in the bathroom. What is it with kids wanting to run around with a toothbrush in their mouth?

After we have had so many problems with his baby teeth, I want to make sure his adult teeth stay healthy. He unfortunately inherited Don and my soft teeth and will always have to watch out for cavities.

I’ll have to keep an eye on his oral care habits until he finally realizes how important it really is to avoid cavities and gum problem. Let’s hope that breakthrough comes before he’s leaving the house for college…

LISTERINE came out with a new product, Smart Rinse, which really helps me teach L that he has to brush more.

This new anti-cavity rinse colors food particles he missed green, and he clearly sees that he missed spots if he sees tiny green particles in the sink.

That’s a great visual reminder for kids that they need to brush longer. And if they do miss a spot with the brush, at least the rinse will reach it.

Check out the LISTERINE YouTube Healthy Habit Heroes video series.

I use and really like their new HEALTHY WHITE GENTLE Rinse, although I wish it didn’t have alcohol in it. It safely whitens without peroxide and kills bad breath germs. Win-win.

I have to be honest, I don’t floss every day like I should. But I have been using the LISTERINE Gentle Gum Care floss they sent to us.

It’s different from other floss, softer, and has a pleasant minty taste. I find that when I keep it out on the sink, I trick myself into using it more. I have to keep up my own healthy habits to be a good example for L, and LISTRINE products make that easier.

What helps you and your family with a healthy oral care routine?
