Sleeping Pretty On My New Organic Wool Pillow

Organic Wool Pillow from Savvy Rest

I’ve been sleeping pretty on a new Savvy Rest pillow, my first organic pillow filled with wool. Yes, wool!

Savvy Rest is a manufacturer and retailer of organic mattresses, pillows, and bedding. And you know I’m all about organic — ideally I’d only have organic products in our home.

Wool fiber is a natural insulator and improves air flow. The cool thing about this pillow is that it’s customizable. When I receive my pillow, it was really thick.

I prefer thinner pillows, so I simply unzipped the inner and outer casing and removed some of the wool to get the size I wanted. It’s kind of like having a sheep in the house, ha

I actually took out enough wool to fill another small pillow — there really is enough to make two out of one pillow if you wanted.

I’ve been sleeping on the pillow for a week now and love it. The outer lining made with organic cotton is so super soft, it’s almost a shame to cover it with a pillow cover.

I might just leave it off the next time, since I can simply wash the outer lining as well.

The next time you need to buy pillows or a mattress, look into Savvy Rest’s organic options. It doesn’t have to cost much more — I buy inexpensive, organic cotton sheets from Target for the three of us, for example.

We spend so much time sleeping, it might as well be on high-quality, non-toxic bedding, especially for our kids.

Nice review. I also removed some of the wool batting from a new pillow (different brand) and have found the perfect loft. I now sleep better than ever and look forward to sleeping with my wool pillow.
