financial independence: couponing

What does financial independence mean to you? To me, it means not having to live from paycheck to paycheck, having a nest egg, and being able to work from home so I can spend a lot of time with my little boy.

What are some creative ways you and your family save time and money?

As you probably know, I’m pretty frugal. I save a lot of money by using coupons and store reward cards, and by stocking up on products when they are on sale.

I don’t get a haircut or a car washed without a coupon. When I buy something online, I use first and then look for the best deal either on Target, Amazon, or Overstock.

I save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars every year by knowing where to buy things for less — and that allows me to work from home.

To you, financial independence might mean the exact opposite: working a full-time job so you are able to hire a nanny to cook and take care of the kids until you get home, for example.
