I hope you had a wonderful Father’s Day. We started the day with breakfast in bed for the three of us, then I went thrifting, came back to go to lunch at the Katonah Restaurant, and our last stop was a Pleasantville bookstore.

When I pulled up to the house, I knew this was a good tag sale. They were emptying a house and a barn that’s on the market now and were also piling all kinds of things next to the curb for a household trash pickup from the town the next day.

vintage finds

I spent an hour looking through boxes full of vintage things, and then I also grabbed some free books, two large baskets, and a stack of free records. I left the chairs and doors behind — our porch is already overflowing with my painting projects.

It’s hard to pick my favorite thing from all of these goodies, but the most amazing find has to be this folder full of 105 plates of bird prints. They are 100 years old next year!

vintage finds: collection of birds of New York 1915And the vintage How to Hold a Garage Sale book is just funny. I’m so tempted to frame my favorite bird prints, they would look amazing in a group of six or eight, but I don’t want to pull apart this collection.

So I added it to my Etsy store instead with several other items, and the rest of the items will end up in my store.

Heya this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if
blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so
I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any
help would be enormously appreciated!

He also tells people to go seven days with no dairy products and see how you
feel. Over the seven days, in addition to as much soup as you want, there is a different diet for each day:
Day One- Soup and fruit. Sadly, most vegetarian weight
loss diets out there only come with the fat loss attribute.

Greetings, I think your website could possibly be having web browser compatibility issues.
Whenever I look at your web site in Safari,
it looks fine however when opening in Internet Explorer,
it has some overlapping issues. I merely wanted
to give you a quick heads up! Besides that,
great blog!

Thanks so much for inviting me to your party, Dagmar :) I wasn’t sure if two links was too much :/
That tag sale looks like it was awesome! Those bird prints are wonderful–great find.

Hi Diana, two or more links are fine as long as they are about thrifty or vintage finds. If you want to be featured, please add a link to my blog on the post you are linking up. Can’t wait to read more of your blog. We certainly have a lot in common!
