I had the best Mother’s Day yesterday, and it included thrifting! L and I spent the night near Rhinebeck because Don was there for a yoga retreat, and this way we made it a fun two-day trip for the whole family.

On the way back home I spotted this, and since Don was driving home with L and I had the time, I turned my car around.

Goodwill storeThat music that plays on TV shows or commercials when someone is seeing something amazing? What do you call that? I know what I mean, right? Cue that music.

This Goodwill store in Wappinger Falls, NY, is like a mega store: rows and rows of the kind of things I look for for my store — milk glass, English bone china, pressed glass.

After an hour, I left the store with all of these vintage goodies:

vintage treasuresI’m keeping the milk glass cake stand and am now using it as the base for a cloche — which was a suggestion from one of my Instagram friends.

vintage treasuresI gave four of the crescent-shaped plates away as gifts to my mother-in-law and three sister-in-laws to use for their jewelry, and I’m keeping this water jug because it goes with some other glassware I collect.
