Here are my latest finds: I needed a new art piece on our mantel because I’ve had the one with the winter scene up there for way too long and it’s finally spring.

Today I found it, at the Katonah rummage sale. I had exactly 10 minutes to check it out before I had to get L off the bus.

It’s a copy of an old painting, with stains and no frame, but for some reason it intrigued me. It’s so beaten up and not even an original, but that’s kind of what I like about it. And the price was right: just $1.

It’s an odd coincidence to have found this after we spent a day filled with amazing clouds at the Mystic Seaport yesterday. This is one of the many Instagram pictures I took:

Mystic Seaport, CT I also scored these: a vintage, hand-colored print…

the Cradle Song Print, Yeats…a vintage spice rack or shelf…

vintage spice rack…a few vintage linens, and a little hand-stitched picture of lemons. I’ll take those to my booth at the Newburgh Vintage Emporium tomorrow if you are interested in these treasures.

I bought those pretty, vintage letters I also added to the mantel at the Emporium, by the way.
