8 Gallery Wall Ideas I Found on Pinterest

gallery wall ideas found on Pinterest

I have been pinning pictures of gallery wall ideas I like — because I have two spots in our Blue Cottage that I want to add a gallery wall to: on one side of the stairs and in the reading nook in our bedroom.

This little wall gallery above I created in L’s room.

I want to add all kinds of different pictures I’ve collected over time to the stairwell, and a gallery wall of family photos in our bedroom.

What’s keeping me from finally putting up these gallery walls? I’m afraid it’s going to look cluttered, and of making 20 nail holes and then not liking the result.

So being the research queen I am, I’m stalling by looking at a lot of pictures and different tutorials for gallery walls to get it right — the first time.

Here are a few pictures of gallery walls I do not like that much:

And here are some gallery wall ideas I like:

As you can see, you can go into so many directions with gallery walls. I think I’ll have to just get all the pictures and photos together that I want to hang and then figure out what works best.

Do you have a gallery wall in your home?

thanks for sharing! Love (a lot of) these ideas. Then again, I’m partial to nicely decorated walls. Pinned!

I’m loving that 3rd stairwell gallery with the bluish-gray wall, especially all the different shapes they used. So beautiful! We’ve started one gallery wall, and we want to do another. We have photos of us and the boys around a vinyl saying. I think I might create another with canvas photos of extended family. Photos of loved ones make the best decor. Definitely pinning this for ideas.

I like the 2nd one and the last one. I also like the rustic looking first one. The first one is great because everything on the wall has a ‘natural’ look about it. Ditto the 2nd and last ones, except those have the same look. Our living room is like that, lots of photos, some B & W, some color, but they all have the same frame color.
