The Newburgh Vintage Emporium offers 50 booths full of vintage treasures and chalkpaint furniture — and this is my Dagmar’s Home Decor booth.
I usually have to rush to drive there, only have time to put the new merchandise in the booth, and have to run. Yesterday wasn’t any different: I didn’t have time to check out all the other vendors again.
The booth is still not set up the way I’d want it to look, but right now the focus is on getting my items there. It will always be in flux anyway and there will be empty spots because things sell — which is obviously a good thing.
I find most of these items for not much money because I know where to go, and I always try to pass on those affordable prices to my customers.
I also want to maximize the wall space better, and I have an idea for the top part of the wall I’ll never use because customers can’t reach that high. I’m thinking burlap to get away from all that white.
If you live near Newburgh, NY, or are passing by, I hope you’ll check out this haven of everything vintage, repurposed, and antique.
It’s right next to Interstate 84, and right before/after the Newburgh bridge.
