Wordless Wednesday Linky: Giant Titanic Book for Kids

by Dagmar Bleasdale on February 25, 2014

boy reading Titanic book

L is obsessed with the movie Titanic. He watched it at his cousin’s house about a year ago (cringe) and he’s been fascinated with the movie and the story of the Titanic ever since.

He plays Tianic in the bathtub every singe time and recreates the Titanic on Minecraft.

His little friend Luke loves it just as much , and when they get together they play “Titanic” with Legos for hours.

Strolling in Katonah the other day, we checked out Little Joe’s Books for the first time since the owners changed and remodeled upstairs, and the first thing I spotted was this giant Inside the Titanic book by Ken Marschall.

L grabbed it right away and poured over it. It’s filled with page and pages of beautiful, detailed paintings of the Titanic, and it tells the story of two boys on the ship.

I bought the book for L, and on the way out this book cover caught my attention: Spoon by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.

"Spoon" an adorable kids book.I started reading  it to L and we were laughing so hard! It’s an adorable story with the sweetest lesson. Run and buy this book for your kids, or as a gift. It’s just adorable. We’ve read it many times by now.

I’m a busy bee these days. I’m getting ready for opening day of the Newburgh Vintage Emporium on Saturday — Dagmar’s Home Decor will have a booth there! — and I’m making lists of things I still need to do before I fly to the Design Bloggers Conference in Atlanta on Sunday.

I haven’t priced one single vintage items, and I probably have 100. So I better get going.

I hope you’ll link up to Wordless Wednesday! More Wordless Wednesday linky hosts: Better in Bulk and Verena’s Schoene Welt.
