Wordless Wednesday Linky: Knee Surgery and Snow Storm

by Dagmar Bleasdale on December 18, 2013

scary drive in snowWell, today was fun. Last week, Don decided to have his ambulatory knee surgery and got an appointment for today.

It had to be done this year because we will both have a high deductible next year. The joys of self-employment.

And then another snow storm hit.

School was canceled, so we had to take L with us to the surgery center. Sometimes it would come in handy to have a nanny. L  remembered the place from when he had his tonsils removed there a few years ago.

During the surgery L and I had a bite to eat and then picked up Don, who was doing well. So glad he made it through the surgery without complications.

It had snowed a little bit all day and now the roads were really bad, so the slow, slippery way home was an adventure. Nail biting if I didn’t have to grip the steering wheel so hard.

Today was such a blur that I totally forgot it’s time for the Wordless Wednesday linky. So let’s get Wordless!

Wait, before you link up, check out my “cottage chic” Christmas table setting!

I hope recovery is smooth! We had our share of snow storms, school cancellations…and even a surgery (cataracts) this past week. So far so good!

Sounds like a hectic day or two. Am glad the surgery went well, and that you got home safely. Happy Christmas, I am taking a week off blogging next week so am sending my wishes now! :)

Thanks for your kind comment! Good idea to take a whole week off – gosh, I should do that once in a while :)
