Wordless Wednesday: Nani and Her Yellow Gloves

by Dagmar Bleasdale on October 29, 2013

Dagmar's Home: Wordless Wednesday with Linky

My mom is visiting from Germany. She brought 20 pounds of chocolate, a soup mix, and her yellow dish gloves.

She came to be here for L’s birthday tomorrow and to see the Blue Cottage for the first time since we moved in.

Although her plane was delayed, Don and Landon came with me to pick her up from the airport last night. I couldn’t wait to show her around our house. She has been keeping up with the progress by reading my blog posts about my fall porch decorations, our mantel decor, maximizing storage, our living room reveal and new IKEA sofa table.

This morning, we went out for breakfast and picked up some balloons and LEGO toys for tomorrow.

While I write this, with L next to me on the sofa watching “Doc McStuffins,” my mom is outside raking leaves.

And then she plans to make soup for dinner and carrot muffins for L’s birthday.

I wish she’d visit more often :)

L was born on our one-year anniversary, so it’s also our anniversary tomorrow. I didn’t buy anything for Don yet — I need suggestions!

Let’s get Wordless! More Wordless Wednesday hosts to check out: Live and Love Out Loud, Better in Bulk, This Wonderful Life, and Verena’s Schoene Welt.

Ha ha! Your Nani remind me of my (male) neighbour – he made me giggle the other day when I saw him washing his car, wearing yellow rubber gloves (but he couldn’t see why I thought it was funny, LOL!)

My grandmother had a yellow pair of gloves too! I live in TX now and she is back home in IN but I beat she still has hers!

Get him a good book, that you can read together, or a cozy blanket for his favorite chair, or puzzle books, that again you can do together…Happy Anniversary!
