Family Fun With Pumpkin Masters Carving Kits

Pumpkin Masters carving kits review 2013Fall wouldn’t be fall without carving a pumpkin with your kids. L and I had a great time carving a spooky pumpkin together on Monday.

Nowadays, the kids are oftentimes playing on the iPad or watching TV while you are busy working or making dinner or doing paperwork — that’s just the reality.

All the more reason for some old-fashioned fun. Working on carving a pumpkin brings the family together and you’ll end up with a special pumpkin to decorate your house with.

Pumpkin Masters has you covered when it comes to pumpkin carving kits. They sent us a whole set of their kits: one for kids, one with hole punches, one regular one, and one that lets you carve the outside of the pumpkin, plus cool LED strobe lights that illuminate your pumpkin with pulsing lights you can see from far away.

We chose the Pumpkin Masters design we liked best, and then L helped me mark and clean out our pumpkin in the kitchen. The black pen from the kid’s kit came in handy for that.

I didn’t let L help me cut the pumpkin design — it would’ve been too dangerous in my opinion. But their tools are definitely safer than regular kitchen knives, and they do have a kit designed for kids with eyes they can attach.

I tried to use the punches but had a hardest time to get them into the pumpkin — there was no way L would’ve been able to.

The patterns in the Pumpkin Masters booklets are definitely the key for the cool designs; they are a big help.
