How Culturelle Kids Probiotics Benefit Your Child’s Health

by Dagmar Bleasdale on March 26, 2013

Most people think to use probiotics when they have to take antibiotics, to reduce the likelihood of diarrhea and to make sure they keep the good bacteria in their body that helps them fight illnesses.

Why wait and take probiotics only when you’re sick?

Clinical studies have established that probiotics can help treat several gastrointestinal ills, delay the development of allergies in children, and treat and prevent vaginal and urinary infections in women.

About 70% of children’s immune system resides in the digestive tract, which helps prevent harmful substances from entering our body. More and more people make taking a probiotic part of their children’s daily regime now because they understand that the  gastrointestinal (GI) tract plays an essential role in sustaining their child’s health.

Culturelle makes it easy to give your child probiotics: for children over the age of one, Culturelle® Kids Probiotic Packets contain a flavorless powder that dissolves in liquids, and for children three years and older, Culturelle® Kids Probiotic Chewables are easy to take, taste great and are sugar, dairy, and gluten-free.

Only Culturelle contains 100% Lactobacillus GG, the most clinically studied probiotic strain, proven to work safely and naturally to restore digestive balance.

Landon has tried both and now requests the chewable tablet whenever I give him his vitamins. So he’s a fan :) Both products come in individual packs so they are easy take with you if need be.

Culturelle® Kids Probiotics is a natural solution for better digestive and immune health. Not only does it support a child’s digestion, helping to reduce occasional digestive upset, but it also helps to boost digestion and overall digestive health.

Considering that 70% of your immune system is in your digestive tract, a healthy and balanced digestive system plays a vital role in strengthening a child’s overall health and well-being. To learn more, check out the Culturelle® website now.

I haven’t given my kids probiotics before, but I do try and give them fermented foods a lot – which I would imagine is pretty similar. My kids especially love fermented dilly beans which we get from our winter CSA share. I might have to give this a try though when we don’t have fermented foods available.
